Aries: Aries is known as the child of the Zodiac, and this is the main key to understanding an Aries personality. People born under this sign are full of enthusiasm and ambition, and they have lots of ideas that they want to put into action all at once! This attribute can be a positive aspect of Aries life, but the downside is that the Ram has little patience combined with an inherent dislike of planning. This combination can lead to a life that's more than just a little chaotic, and chances are that they won't always be the most reliable person in your life.

Taurus: Taurus is the most down-to-earth of all the Zodiac signs, and if you know a sensible and grounded person who always seems to be settled and content, there is a very good chance that they are a Taurus. People born under the horoscope sign of Taurus are true connoisseurs of all sensual enjoyments, ranging from dining on an expensive meal in a four-star restaurant to relaxing in a luxurious bubble bath surrounded by scented candles. The less positive aspect of this love of luxury can be a tendency towards overindulgence, and the air of contentment sometimes points to a lack of drive in some areas of life.

Gemini: Gemini is the undisputed witty intellectual of the Zodiac. This does not mean that they are the deepest sign, but they do have the sharpest and quickest minds around. People born under Gemini are always the first to crack a joke, and their excellent social skills make them welcome guests at any gathering. Because Geminians are born under the sign of the Twins, they often have two distinct sides to their personality and a deep insecurity can sit next to a clear awareness of their popularity.

Cancer: Cancer is the most sensitive sign of the Zodiac. If you have a friend who always needs an extra push to be more outgoing in social settings, he or she is probably a Cancer. People born under Cancer may not be the most socially confident of all the signs, but they are incredibly determined, which makes up for some of their shyness. Imagine how difficult it is pry a crab’s strong claws away from its intended meal, and that gives you some idea of the commitment shown by Cancer in all aspects of their life! Everyone could learn a lot if they took more time to listen to the quiet Cancer in the corner.

Leo: Leo is, without doubt, the star of the Zodiac. If Hollywood had an astrological sign, it would be a Leo! As we might expect from the Lion, there is nothing that a Leo loves more than clearly being the person of the moment. Leos are naturally proud and have a very keen sense of their importance, and their sense of entitlement in the world is palpable. However, while this may sound like arrogant behavior, it has to be said that many Leos are so impressive when performing for their public that no one really ever hesitates to give them the praise they crave!

Virgo: Virgo may well be the most misunderstood sign of the Zodiac. Many people associate Virgo with Venus, and this tends to create the impression that Virgo is the sign of romance. In reality, Virgo is an Earth sign ruled by Mercury, which results ina sensible and precise approach to life. Virgos can always be relied upon to be helpful without any expectation of reward, and are perhaps the most dependable of the signs. It can be hard to spot a Virgo, although for some, a carefully planned approach to life leads to a visible concern with being neat and smart. However, for other Virgos, their natural prudence means that clothes are a very low priority item, which means their somewhat uncharacteristically disheveled appearance can be misleading.

Libra: Libra is known for being the most balanced sign in the Zodiac, as represented by the symbol of the scales. However, our response to Libra depends often on our own personality. For some, Libra appears to be thoughtful, while to others, Librans appear to be indecisive. In reality, Libra often moves back and forth between both of these states of being. While Libra is very focused on others, it is also the sign most concerned with personal appearance. This is partly due to Libra's general love of beauty, but also represents Libra's need to feel approval from the world around them.

Scorpio: Scorpio is the most intriguing sign of the Zodiac thanks to its association with the deepest mysteries of life. People born under the sign of Scorpio are intensely complex individuals, and experience the world from a primarily emotional perspective. Scorpio is fascinated by the unknown and loves to explore life's mysteries and everything that seems to be forbidden or impenetrable. Their inward focus can mean that Scorpio comes across as a rather cold fish, but underneath their cool exterior they feel everything with a passion that can sometimes suddenly burst through to the surface and take everyone by surprise.

Sagittarius: Sagittarius is the on-the-go athlete of the Zodiac, and has an infectiously enthusiastic attitude toward life in general. People born under the sign of Sagittarius have a definite physical presence and are usually blessed with a powerful level of charisma. Oddly, despite their sporting prowess, Sagittarius is also one of the clumsiest signs, and struggles with delicate or precise activities, which applies both to personal interactions as well as to the physical world. Sagittarius makes a wonderful friend thanks to their optimism and tendency to make sure that everyone around them is having a great time!

Capricorn: Capricorn is the banker of the Zodiac. Perhaps they're not the credit crunching banker of today’s world, but the cautiously ambitious banker of yesteryear. People born under the sign of Capricorn have a need for status and the element of Earth directs them to find this status through material power. Although Capricorn can seem rather solemn and harsh at times, they do have an inner sensitivity and a genuine desire to see those around them reaping the rewards of hard work. Capricorn's drive and focus can also be applied to the deeper questions of life, and it is not unusual for Capricorn to be as profound as they are successful.

Aquarius: Aquarius is the most difficult sign of the Zodiac to describe with precision. This is because two of the key characteristics of Aquarius is their love of individuality and a refusal to conform to anyone’s expectations! People born under the sign of Aquarius will often seem to be a fish out of water in any given setting because they always insist on approaching life from their own quirky and unique perspective. Aquarius is generally quiet in groups, although they are experts at the perfect one liner in any conversation. However, their unpredictability means that they can suddenly become hugely excited, at which point they are happy to dominate any conversation.

Pisces: Pisces is the sign that completes the cycle of the Zodiac, and, in a sense, Pisces contains all the experience of the signs. People born under Pisces tend to be recognized as wise beyond their years, and their ability to connect on a deep level with almost anyone they encounter combined with an innate sense of patience and compassion makes Pisces a wonderful and highly valued friend. Pisces wants to understand the world as a route to understanding themselves. The wisdom of Pisces is an emotional form of intelligence, and Pisces can be surprisingly suspicious of more rational ways of analyzing the world around us.
